Story

A man found himself entangled in a relationship he was happy in but one that led to the inevitable heartbreak. He was deeply in love with her, and she was perfect, when he was not. But his partner’s lies left him in a state of confusion and pain. Despite the hurt, he tried to answer the unspoken questions in her eyes and danced to the rhythm of her deceitful words.

One of the most painful moments was when he had to face the loss of an unborn child, a tragedy she had assured him would be painless. Her calm demeanor during such a devastating time only added to his torment. She forgave his fleeting indiscretions, pulling him back into her arms each time he strayed, but he couldn’t understand why she did this when she wasn’t truly there for him in the end.

After she left, he was consumed by grief and loneliness. He spent countless nights shivering in the corner, unable to look at the empty side of the bed where she used to lie. She had promised to return, but that promise was broken, leaving him feeling abandoned and dead inside.

He remembered the small gestures she used to make, like keeping a flower for everything he said and offering her shoulder as a place for his heart to find solace. These memories haunted him, making him question why she left him so abruptly and why she even tried to be as perfect as she was when she never meant to stay.

Who passed me for a day
You pulled me back into your arms
Every time I went astray
But why?

When you’re not here today

I shivered in the corner
