Story

In the lush, vibrant green landscapes of Java, Indonesia, a Nepali man named found himself captivated by the island’s beauty and culture. Amidst the bustling markets and serene temples, he met an Indonesian woman whose beauty was unparalleled. Their connection was instant, and the man felt a love he had never known before.

He was ready to leave everything behind for her, to start a new life in this enchanting land. His heart was full of dreams and promises, but she was hesitant. Despite her deep affection for him, she couldn’t commit to the future he envisioned and was more drawn to the idea of marrying the man her parents chooses for her. She tells him that their difference is too much for her, and she finds it impossible to contemplate spending the rest of her life with him, and that she has decided to marry a Javanese man instead. The weight of her decision grew heavy, and the man realized that he had to let her go.

With a heavy heart, he sits by a temple where a Gamelan group starts playing the enchanting music to which he instantaneously finds himself drawn to and pouring all his emotions out into some impromptu lyrics. He finds himself repeating the words “I never wanted more than you’ve given me. I never wanted anymore,” over and over again. Thinking no one could see or hear him he was shouting to the top of his lungs when he realized that there was a crowd that had gathered just to watch what he was doing. Although they did not understand his words, they felt his pain. In the corner he sees that the woman he loved also peaked but she left quickly to avoid any more pain or confusion between the two of them. The next day he receives an invitation to her wedding and life moves on.
