Story

In the quiet, waking hours of the morning, when the world is still wrapped in the soft embrace of dawn, a brother wakes up to the gentle light filtering through the window to a news that no one would want to hear but one that has been well overdue. The dew clings to the flowers outside, refusing to leave their delicate petals much as this brother held on to his dying sister’s memories. This serene moment is one of many shared with his sister, who was an important presence in his life.

Raised in a society with its own set of rules and restrictions, his mother took on the role of both mother and sister to her youngest sibling. To the brother, she was simply his sister, a bond forged in the innocence of childhood. She held him in her arms like a brother, and he never questioned the love and care she showered upon him.

As they grew older, life took them on different paths. She faced battles of her own, the most formidable being pancreatic cancer. Despite the struggle, she remained a pillar of strength and love. The boy, now a man, watched helplessly as she fought with unwavering courage. The tears they shed were for no other, a testament to the deep bond they shared.

He understands now that life is fleeting, and everything they hold dear is borrowed from the infinite powers that govern their existence. As he sings, he feels a sense of peace, knowing that she is no longer in pain.

So just fly away
I’ll meet you again someday
Just fly away
I’ll see you again someday

The chorus is a heartfelt farewell, a promise that their souls will reunite someday. He remembers how she held him like a brother and spoke to their mother as if she were her own. The love they shared transcended the complexities of their family dynamics.

You held me in your arms like a brother
You talked me to my mom like she was your mother
Somewhere down the line you chose another
But the tear drops in our eyes are for no other

As the song reaches its end, he feels a profound sense of gratitude for the time they had together. The tears in his eyes are a mixture of sorrow and appreciation for the love and memories they created. He knows that she has flown away to a place free of pain, and he holds onto the hope that they will meet again someday.

Lyrics

You had seen me in the waking light of hours
When the dew refuses to leave the grace of flowers
Yet we struggle all our lives to keep what’s ours
But everything is borrowed from infinite powers

So just fly away
I’ll meet you again someday
Just fly away
I’ll see you again someday

You held me in your arms like a brother
You talked me to my mom like she was your mother
Somewhere down the line you chose another
But the tear drops in our eyes are for no other

So just fly away
I’ll meet you again someday
Just fly away
I’ll see you again someday
