Story

In a cozy log house nestled in the snowcapped mountains of Colorado, the early April morning brings a crisp, refreshing air. The sun rises slowly, casting a golden glow over the pristine landscape. Inside, a Nepali man and his blue-eyed, blond companion are cuddled up in bed, wrapped in the warmth of each other’s company.

The first rays of sunlight filter through the glass door, gently waking him. He blinks against the light, the sun always seeming to find its way into his eyes. As he stirs, he takes in the breathtaking view of the mountains outside, their majesty a perfect backdrop to this serene moment.

He turns to look beside him and sees her, still peacefully asleep. Her blue eyes and blonde hair catch the morning light, and in that instant, she reminds him of everything that’s true and beautiful in his life. The simplicity of this moment, the quiet connection they share, feels like a revelation.

She asks him why the sun is in his eyes. She reflects that the sun seems to always be in his eyes.

He also then reflects of the constancy of the sun in his life. It’s always there, guiding him, illuminating his path. He realizes that this weekend, in the company of this beautiful woman and the embrace of nature, is a moment of clarity. The sun in his eyes is a symbol of his appreciation for the present, for the beauty around him, and for the connection he shares with nature and everything that is beautiful in this world.

As they lie there, he feels a deep sense of gratitude. The mountains, the sun, and his companion all come together to create a perfect moment of peace and reflection. He walks out to the patio where the wind blows off his robe and he finds himself naked under the sun and nature. He feels her hand on his shoulder, his blue-eyed lover. They both know that their connection may be fleeting but they both know that these are the moments that make life meaningful, and he vows to carry the light of the sun in his eyes, always and she will always remember him this way.

Lyrics

Sun comes into my eyes
Another day is asking me to rise
Sure am glad you’re by my side
Hush now babe and hear the mountain’s cries

You ask me why
the sun is in my
my eyes
sun stay in my
it’s in my eyes
sun stays in my…
my eyes
sun stays in my…

The day begins there’s nothing wrong
The sun starts smiling while I play my song
Home is where my feet lay
Heaven’s where my guitar plays

But you ask me why
the sun is in my
my eyes
sun stay in my
it’s in my eyes
sun stays in my…
my eyes
sun stays in my…

and her eyes were blue
reminding me of everything that’s true
I let the wind comb my hair
And tear apart the clothes I wear

You ask me why
the sun is in my
my eyes
sun stay in my
it’s in my eyes
sun stays in my…
my eyes
sun stays in my…

(guitar solo)
