Story

In a quaint village nestled in the heart of Nepal, there lived a woman known as ‘Batti.’ Her presence was like a beacon of light, illuminating the lives of everyone around her. She was not just a woman; she was the embodiment of hope, joy, and prosperity, much like the Goddess Laxmi herself.
One day, without warning, Batti vanished. The village was plunged into darkness and despair. The once vibrant and lively community now felt cold and empty. The villagers wandered through the streets, calling out, “Oh Batti… Oh Batti… Timi kaha harayo?” (Oh Batti… Oh Batti… Where have you gone?). Their voices echoed through the empty alleys, but there was no response.

Days turned into weeks, and the villagers’ sorrow deepened. They missed her warmth, her light, and the sense of security she brought. The village elders gathered and decided to search for her, hoping to bring back the light that had been lost.
Meanwhile, Batti was on a journey of her own. She travelled to sacred places across Nepal, lighting a ‘diyo’ (oil lamp) in temples, monasteries, and other holy sites. With each ‘diyo’ she lit, the places she visited became brighter and more vibrant, imagine going from darkness into light or from black and white into color. Her light spread hope and blessings wherever she went, touching the lives of many.

Back in the village, the people continued to search for her, their hearts heavy with longing. They sang, “Oh Batti… Oh Batti… Timi kaha harayo?” (Oh Batti… Oh Batti… Where have you gone?), hoping that their voices would reach her.
One day, as the sun began to set, a soft glow appeared on the horizon. The villagers watched in awe as Batti returned, her light even more radiant than before. She had gathered the blessings and hope from her journey and brought them back to her beloved village.
The village was transformed. The darkness and despair were replaced with light and joy. The villagers celebrated her return, recognizing her as the embodiment of Goddess Laxmi. They sang and danced, their hearts filled with gratitude and happiness.
From that day on, Batti’s light was everlasting. She became a symbol of hope, resilience, and divine blessings. The villagers knew that even in the darkest times, light and hope could be found and would return.
