Story
A man found himself in the aftermath of a devastating breakup. His relationship had been filled with lies and deceit, but he had finally seen through the facade. The woman he once loved had turned against him, making sure the world knew her version of the story. She publicized everything she believed he did wrong, painting herself as the victim and him as the villain.
The man felt utterly exposed and vulnerable. Everywhere he turned, people were singing her song, believing her lies. He had no place to go, no refuge from the shame and hurt she had inflicted. His pride was shattered, and he felt incredibly low.
Despite the pain, he knew he had to hold his head up high. He realized that her satisfaction came from spreading her lies and showing the world her tears. But he also knew that the truth was out there, carried by the wind. His tears, though heavy with sorrow, were worth their weight in truth.
Lyrics
Hold your head up high
You just happened to see past the lies
Hold your head up high
You just happened to look into her eyes
And no it didn’t take her too long
To publicize everything she thinks you did wrong
And no it didn’t take her long
To have the whole world singing her song
Singing her song
Singing her song…
And you’ve got no place to go
When you’re feeling so low
And you’ve got no place to hide
When she broke your pride
Just hold your head up high
Hold your head up high
And no it didn’t take her too long
To publicize everything she thinks you did wrong
And no it didn’t take her long
To have the whole world singing her song
Singing her song
Singing her song…
No she isn’t satified
To hide the fact that she’s lied
And no she isn’t satisfied
She has to show the whole world she has cried
But the truth is in the wind
And your tears are only worth its weight in truth
